“No shave November”, or “Movember” is an initiative that seeks to raise awareness and funds for the cause of testicular and prostate cancer.
It all started in 2009, when members of the Chicagoland Hill Family, a non-profit organization in the United States, decided not to shave and collect funds for altruistic purposes.
What began as a Facebook page has now become an international celebration that has raised funds from a little over two millions of dollars. At present, this movement dedicated to eradicating cancer of all kinds, continues to fight for its goal, which is based on raising funds to educate the population on this subject.
